
The State Working Committee (SWC) of the Delta State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has expelled two of its members and suspended five others indefinitely.
A statement by the State PDP Publicity Secretary, Dr Ifeanyi Osuoza, confirmed that these decisions were taken after a meeting of the
party’s SWC, on Wednesday.
The statement said three other persons have also been directed to appear before the State Disciplinary Committee of the party.
According to the statement, the decisions were based on recent actions of the affected members, which were deemed to be inimical to the peace and harmony of the party capable of causing discord and disaffection among loyal party members in Bowen Ward Six of Warri South Local Government Area of the State.

(1). MR. OPE ONOME WILSON – (SECRETARY)
(2). MR. UBER OKORETE – (YOUTH LEADER)
(3). MR. SILLO ORITSEWEYINMI – (PUBLICITY SECRETARY)
(4). MISS. NOMAYO EMMANUELLA RUKEVWE – (LEGAL ADVISER)
(5). MR. OKENE ESE – (FINANCIAL SECRETARY)
THOSE TO APPEAR BEFORE THE STATE DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE:
(1). DR. MEYIWA EREWA
(2). AUGUSTINE OKENE, ESQ
(3). AMB. TOYIN AGBOHAYAH, JP
The Delta State PDP said the decisions will serve as a clear signal to other party members that discipline should be paramount in all their actions and utterances.
Party members were urged to remain calm and law-abiding and to adhere strictly to the Covid-19 directives and advisories, as directed by the State government, medical and health authorities.
