An ultra-modern hall built to foster peace and strengthen the bond of unity amongst the Ugbede family of Mosogar as well as brought a platform for advancing the development of Mosogar Kingdom in Ethiope West Local Government Area has been inaugurated.

The hall christened Ugbede Family Hall was singlehandedly built and furniture by frontline politician in Delta State, Chief Ighoyota Amori, who is also from the kingdom.

Former chairman of the Delta State Chapter of the Christian Association Nigeria, CAN, Reverend Gideon Oyibo, while inaugurating the building enjoined the people to also use the facility to draw themselves closer to God.

Chief Amori who returned all the glory to God for using him to attract development to Mosogar Kingdom acknowledged that his political sojourn would not have turned out successfully without the solid support of his Ugbede family and the people of Mosogar.

Recounting his first adventure into active politics, Chief Amori said the Ugbede family inspired him to contest the councillorship position for Mosogar in 1987.

He said the hall is in furtherance of his show of appreciation to the people for all their support which has kept him going in politics.

The renowned Delta politician urged the Ugede family and the entire Mosogar people to put the structure to good use for the overall development of the kingdom.

Reverend Oyibo in his sermon at the ceremony urged the Ugbede family and the people of Mosogar Kingdom to continue to embrace God for sustained development of the kingdom.

Reverend Oyibo, the Deputy Speaker of Delta State House of Assemby, Rt. Hon. Ochor Ochor and Hon. Solomon Ighrakpata, who were among dignitaries that graced the occasion, urged the Mosogar people to continue to stand by Chief Ighoyota Amori, to encourage him to do more for the kingdom.

The oldest man in Ugbede family, Ekpe Acha Aghwe, Elder brother of Chief Ighoyota Amori, Elder Michael Amori and others expressed thanks to Chief Amori for always remembering them and for his ceaseless commitment to take Mosogar to greater heights.

The rapid rise in development and popularity of Mosogar Kingdom in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State began in 1999 when one of the illustrious sons of the kingdom, Chief Ighoyota Amori, entered into the politics of the state.

The political influence which Chief Amori wields within and outside Delta State has impacted on Mosogar Kingdom over the years, directing steady rise in infrastructural development and people oriented programmes.

The ultra-modern Ugbede Family Hall situated on Number 8, Ugbede Street, Mosogar town is the first of its kind in the history of kingdom.

The inauguration and dedication of the edifice by Reverend Gideon Oyibo resonates the memories of one-time President of the United States, Late John F. Kennedy, who said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”
