The National Coordinator of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ, Comrade Sheriff Mulade, has urged Muslim faithful to use the Ramadan period to pray for the resuscitation of the declining world economies caused by the global outbreak of the dreaded infectious COVID-19 disease.
In a goodwill message to Muslims to mark this year’s Ramadan, Comrade Sheriff Mulade, who is the Ibe-sorimowei of Ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, lamented that the COVID-19 pandemic has led to very poor health conditions worldwide, and enjoined Muslims to call for God’s intervention in the situation.
Comrade Mulade urged Muslims in Nigeria to use the Ramadan period to pray Allah to grant all Nigerians particularly government at all levels, health workers, traditional institutions, corporate organizations, industries and non-governmental Organizations the ability and capacity to survive the prevailing global economic downturn caused by COVID-19.
He noted that the world is at a standstill as the global economy, healthcare, businesses, social life of the people, education and food production have all been negatively impacted stressing that with special prayers during religious events, God Almighty is able to turn the world situation around for the better.
