Nigeria’s former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Umar Na’ Abba, has debunked rumour of his death insisting he was hale and hearty.
Na’Abba in a video shared by President Muhammadu Buhari’s Assistant on New Media, Ahmad Bashir. dismissed the rumours making the rounds that he was dead.
Reports had emerged on Friday morning that the former speaker died in a hospital in London after a surgery.
In the vidoe Na’Abba said, “I have in recent days been hearing rumours that I was dead. I am doing this video to prove to Nigerians and the world over that I am still alive, hale and hearty.
“I am a proud Nigerian and I am saddened that rumour will spread about me in such an evil manner.
“Also, I would like to condole with others who have lost their loved ones to the deadly pandemic.”
